Who:
Market Festival Fairbanks is managed by Festival Fairbanks, a non-profit, community service organization with over 39 years of dedication to its mission…To enhance the long term quality of life for Interior Alaska residents through tourism and economic development, education through recognition of significant historic anniversaries, and beautification.
What:
Market Festival Fairbanks is open to a variety of vendors. Vendors may sign up for a fee with the opportunity to choose as many or as few vending “time slots” as they wish throughout the season. (Some restrictions may apply.)
When:
May 27 – September 02, 2019. Market Festival Fairbanks hours vary. Blackout dates for community events such as Midnight Sun Street Fair, or Golden Days Street Fair, etc. may apply and will require vendors to sign-up with the respective hosting organizations to participate. Where:
Golden Heart Plaza, downtown Fairbanks. 516 First Avenue, between Cushman and Lacey Streets.
Why:
Festival Fairbanks built Golden Heart Plaza as a community gathering place and dedicated it as a gift to our City for the 25th Anniversary of Statehood. Festival Fairbanks leases the plaza from the City of Fairbanks and is responsible for its upkeep. The goal is to encourage activity that will attract both locals and tourists. Expanded Market hours may offer new opportunities for artisans, entrepreneurs and growers with a focus on local creations to vend their goods.
